In search of the perfect site for their new home, a young family chose a plot near Celje, where the orientation of the land dictated the layout of the spaces and openness to the west. Architect Tomaž Lenart took advantage of the natural light and designed large panoramic windows on the ground floor, connecting the interior with the garden. What sets this house apart from similar projects is the play with volume – subtracting, adding, and shifting spaces – through which the architect created a sense of dynamism while ensuring the functionality of each area.
For the interior design, we ensured that the spaces are connected into an elegant, warm, and airy whole. Since the house doesn’t have a traditional hallway, we created a seamless transition from the entrance to the kitchen, resulting in a unified and harmonious space.
The color palette follows the clients’ wishes and includes warm wood tones, whites, and textures of concrete and marble, which together create a refined and contemporary expression of home. Special attention was given to the central living area, open to the upper floor, giving the space a sense of spaciousness and a connection between the different corners of the home.
